In March, Himalayan Community Care Services (HCCS) had the pleasure of meeting with Michael Healy MP, providing a valuable opportunity to discuss our services and ongoing initiatives supporting individuals and families across Far North Queensland.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Healy for generously taking the time to meet with our team. The conversation provided an important opportunity to share insights into the work we are doing within the NDIS and the broader community support sector, as well as the initiatives we are developing to better support the region.
During the meeting, we explored ways to continue strengthening our services and responding to the evolving needs of the community. It was particularly encouraging to see Mr. Healyβs genuine interest in the work we do and the communities we support.
His willingness to listen, understand both our achievements and the challenges faced within the sector, and engage in meaningful discussion was greatly appreciated by our entire team.
At HCCS, we remain committed to delivering high-quality, culturally responsive support services, and to working collaboratively with community leaders, stakeholders, and government representatives to improve outcomes for the people we support.
Meetings such as this play an important role in strengthening connections, advocating for our community, and ensuring that services continue to evolve in a way that reflects local needs.
